Jef Vlegels joined the CHEGG team in April 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher. He holds a master in Sociology (UGent), a master in Quantitative Analysis for the Social Sciences (VUB-KULeuven), and has a doctoral degree in Sociology (UGent). From 2015 until March 2018 he was working as a policy advisor and post-doc researcher at the research unit data and policy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and as a guest professor at Antwerp University.
His research focuses on the concept of the networked university, studying the composition, structure and evolution of higher education networks both internally as in relationship with external actors. In addition, he studies the relationship between education and employability in cultural and creative industries.
