Martina Vukasovic presenting at VVKHO conference
The VVKHO (Flemish Association of Catholic Colleges) organized a one-day conference on tuition fees “Between holy cow and milk cow”. The conference focused on introduction and increases of tuition fees and the relationship of such changes with equity of higher education.
Martina Vukasovic presented different perspectives on students (cash cows, clients, members of academic community or future citizens) and how these different perspectives are used to legitimize specific policy preferences, e.g. in favour or against tuition fees). The programme included, amongst other, presentation of the results of the study on impact of cost-sharing commissioned by the EU, by Dominic Orr.
