Quality cultures in higher education
How can one create a culture for quality enhancement? This question guided a research project, recently finalized by CHEGG and CHEPS, the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies of the University of Twente, the Netherlands.
The Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, NOKUT, wanted to gain insight in this issue and commissioned the two research institutes to investigate the matter. The project – from the CHEGG side carried out by Lisa Brockerhoff, Jelle Mampaey and Jeroen Huisman – consisted of an in-depth literature review of factors that affect quality (enhancement) and five case studies of centres of teaching and learning in different higher education systems. The final report can be found here and a short report on how the report was received at NOKUT´s annual conference can be found here.
