In America, everything is bigger and better! / Christopher Morphew

The United States are often seen as the envy of the world, given its high number of so-called world-class universities, like Yale, Harvard and MIT. What one often forgets is the high level of diversity with – indeed – top institutions, but also a considerable number of what we – from a European perspective – would term mediocre institutions. The aim of the lecture was to address the key policy themes and challenges of US higher education and possibly debunk some persistent myths about the US system.

Lecturer: Prof. Christopher Morphew (University of Iowa, USA)
